1897 Smith Premier 2 Serial # 16473 1897 Smith Premier 2 typewriter, Serial # 16473 Mr E idk's 1897 Smith Premier 2 typewriter. 2018-08-26 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Mr E idk: 1897 Smith Premier 2 Serial # 16473 I finally fixed the crack in the carriage with some JB Weld. I had to to fix mine again as the one that came in the mail got smashed, unfortunately.
Has a very light touch for such a old machine.
UPDATE
I have a another (very rusty) carriage frame! Once this new frame is restored I will use it on this machine.
