Description:
I finally fixed the crack in the carriage with some JB Weld. I had to to fix mine again as the one that came in the mail got smashed, unfortunately.
Has a very light touch for such a old machine.
UPDATE
I have a another (very rusty) carriage frame! Once this new frame is restored I will use it on this machine.

I am a Densmore fan!
I like the early machines from the 19th century.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Premier 2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Premier Serial Number page and the Smith Premier 2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
