Description:
This is a very rare Duplex No. 1 that was made in Des Moines, Iowa. It’s one of about a dozen known to exist worldwide. The Duplex famously featured two full keyboards so a typist could type two letters simultaneously. The typewriter was a commercial failure because it was so difficult to use.
