I'm not an electric typewriter guy, but after trying one of these in a shop, I just had to have one. Got this on Craigslist. Came with four new ribbons and two elements, even the instruction manual! Needed to be cleaned and oiled, but runs pretty well now. The serial number was ground off at some point, so it was probably stolen at one point in its life. The previous owner's mother used it when she was a secretary.
The touch on these things is fantastic!
Status: Typewriter Hunter
I am a professional historian and writer. I have been collecting typewriters since 2013, and use them for all of my work (novels, short stories, poetry, non-fiction, and personal letters). I have a passion for all things antique, but hold a special place for these tools. Some of my collection is up for sale or trade, so if you see something you want, let me know!
