Although other typewriters in the shop were upwards of $100, this typewriter was only $10. After deciding to recant my earlier statement that I "had too many typewriters" I purchased this Olivetti.

This typewriter is in a pleasing olive green color with black keys. The spacebar seems like it was bent slightly out of alignment, but other than that the typewriter seems in fairly good condition. I had to clean large amounts of dust and hair out of the machine, however. There was even a sizable wood chip in the keys for some reason. Even though it had a long was to go, iIt cleaned up quite well.

I would say this typewriter is a fun design with lots of history, but not the best typewriter I own. I use typewriters to write letters, and after writing a letter on this machine my fingers feel sore- something that I do not experience on my Royal or Smith Corona typewriters. Typing feels satisfying, however, and it is gratifying to put words on paper. Many of the levers and knobs are made differently than other typewriters I own, and that makes this typewriter a fun change of pace.
