The Typewriter Database 19XX Kovac (Nakajima) M-103 Serial # 3X100109 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Uwe Wachtendorf: 19XX Kovac (Nakajima) M-103 Serial # 3X100109 I had to slip this machine in the Nakajima category because one doesn't exist for Kovac. I don't know anything about the Kovac name, but this is definitely a just a rebadged typewriter.

I'm not a cunning linguist, so my best guess is that this is an Arabic machine, which means it types from right to left, and that everything associated with the carriage is reversed. The line space lever has to be pushed to the left to advance the page and return the carriage to the beginning of a new line. It's also very odd - for me - to see the drawband drum on the right side.

With respect to the type sample, for obvious reasons the first three lines were typed using an Olympia and not this machine.
