197X Underwood 315 Serial # 3665977 197X Underwood 315 typewriter, Serial # 3665977 Ian Brumfield's 197X Underwood 315 typewriter. 2016-11-18 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Ian Brumfield: 197X Underwood 315 Serial # 3665977 This is a Mexican-built, Canadian-keyboard equipped Underwood 315 (Olivetti Lettera 31) bought in an Ohio Goodwill. It has a great zip-case and the Conrail-blue ribbon cover is super cool. When I got it home, the back said 'Undewood'. The aluminum plate swiftly fell off on its own accord and revealed 'Olivetti' moulded into the plastic!

Unlike any other machine in my collection thus far, this one has an 11 character-per-inch typeface.

I have had a hard time identifying this machine, but I think that I have finally found the correct info. Take a look at Uwe's typewriter: http://typewriterdatabase.com/197x-underwood-315.2623.typewriter
