1953 Olivetti Lettera 22 #053713

This is my favorite typewriter (so far). The keyboard has all sorts of nifty characters, like the upside down exclamation mark and question mark, but also "dead" keys for umlaut, and the accents aigu, grave and circonflexe. There's also a tilde key, but that one isn't dead. There is no 0 either.

Typeface Specimen:

Hunter: John Schop (Schop)

Status: Typewriter Hunter
Points: 84

Likes fixing typewriters even more than actually using them.

Grew up in The Netherlands, lives in Ohio.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti Lettera 22 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti Serial Number page and the Olivetti Lettera 22 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
