0 Points, Typewriter Hunter

I've been a vivid writer since I learned how to write, which was when I was 4 or 5 years old. I used to write short stories (and I still do) and wanted to do so on a typewriter! Thus, I got a child toy typewriter for a Christmas or birthday, I don't remember really. However, I soon ran out of ink, and when I wanted a new ribbon for another Christmas or birthday, my family found out it wasn't possible to buy one! That's when I got my first real (electric) typewriter – a whole new Consulta 110. When I was in my teens, I realised I also wanted some vintage-looking mechanical ones, so I bought a second-hand Consul (don't remember the model) and Continental (I believe it was something like 50?). Well, I used them from time to time, but not a ton. Therefore, when I moved in with my husband to a very tiny apartment, I had to let them go. I kept only the childhood Consulta, which I was emotionally attached to, of course. And now, almost 30 years old, we got an old Continental Klein, which my husband's grandfather used to write his sermons on. It needed a lot of cleaning, and I totally enjoyed the process! That's how I knew I needed to have more and clean them and repair them and just collect them and have fun with them, while writing my stories.
