0 Points, Typewriter Hunter

I was born and raised in Costa Rica. I was then lucky enough to have lived and studied in Italy. I am back in Costa Rica now, where I rediscovered typewriters and they seem to have been multiplying since. So far, they are all post-WWII.
I hope to be able to preserve them all, get them back in the best possible working order, back to their former and intended glory. As a part of that, I hope to use them all as often and as much as possible.
My dream in the making, is to start a program where I take the typewriters periodically to schools and senior's homes, where they might eventually get lent to/donated permanently. This, in order to spark joy, ignite and/or re-ignite the interest and passion for these wonderful machines in the young, the elderly and everyone else in between, and have them serve once again as learning tools, memory joggers, keepers and creators.
I am in the process of creating a foundation to be able to organize it all better, receive donations and achieve this more easily. In the meantime, while all the paperwork is realized, I am about to start lugging typewriters around and taking them out there to the people myself by my lonesome, as well as to the regular type-ins I hope to start organizing very soon (in theory the 1st one already happened a couple of weeks ago). I am hoping it all kindles an ever growing appreciation, and a healthy self-replenishing and self-sustainable chapter of the revolution, locally at first and then, who knows, maybe it catches on and eventually this format goes global... Type on!!!
