10 years ago I found a Royal All-American in perfect condition at an estate sale for $5. That became a Royal and a Smith-Carona. That became a current collection of 15 Typewriters. It would be 16, but my son fell in love with that original Royal, and adopted it with my blessing. I clean them, I fix them, I love writing on them. They are such an elegant piece of engineering that I am thrilled to help save.
