I live in South Florida and work as an Automotive Technician by trade (that's probably why I naturally gravitated towards tinkering with Typewriters so quickly!). My first machine was a 1959 Royal Heritage which I picked up at an antique shop on my wife and I's honeymoon. I've asked her if she ever regrets letting me get that machine as it opened the door to this addiction and now my collection spans nearly 60 typewriters—she says “No� but I think she's just being nice LOL. The oldest being a 1896 Blickensderfer No. 5 and the newest a 1980s Selectric III. My wife and I just had our first baby—a gorgeous little girl— in Sept. of 2025, which is DEFINITELY the best thing to have ever happened to me!
