My typewriter passion started in 2000 when I found a gleaming blue plastic Remington Streamliner at a church rummage sale. Seven year old me couldn't wait to dissect this machine to see how it worked. It came apart so much easier than it went back together and ultimately the margins weren't ever quite right again but from that moment on, I was hooked. In addition to typewriters being mechanical wonders, the rhythm of the machine helps me to focus on my task creating a much more enjoyable writing experience. In adulthood I've found 60's and 70's electric type bar machines to be my favorite, but I collect all types of portable.
