Received my first typewriter as an unplanned gift from my dear mother; a 1964 SCM Sterling that will always be my first love, and the reason for my ever-growing collection of Coronas, SCMs, Olympias, Imperial, Erika, Hermes. My grandfather once sold Olympia and IBM typewriters while owning The Dwane Davis International Corporation in the 70s-80s, so I have an especial soft-spot for those, however I will forever prefer manuals over electrics. As soon as I have the space, I intend to welcome a plethora of old standards into my collection. I write long-form letters, thoughts, poems, whimsies, and fictional short stories.
