0 Points, Typewriter Hunter

I am a professional Archivist and a semi-professional Musician. My first vintage typewriter was a Remington Noiseless Seven salvaged from my future inlaws' basement in 1989. I was unemployed at the time and the process of bringing that thing back to life was a welcome distraction. That was my only typewriter for the next 30 years. My renewed interest came gradually, sparked by the enthusiasm of a coworker who collects and an ongoing fascination with the material culture of the 1920s and 1930s. During the COVID lockdown, I began keeping a journal using the Remington noiseless. Then I joined a typewriter subreddit and started seeing posts of cool machines that I didn't know existed. That was "chum" in the water for someone with collector tendencies! I just picked up my third machine, so I suppose I now qualify as a "collector" of typewriters.
