Description:
Olivetti Studio 46, unexpected purchase but bought at a flea market for very few euros. In excellent condition, the typewriter writes very well without inaccuracies and shows no signs of age. It was accompanied by a suitcase, cover sheet, instruction manual and old metal spools, instead of the plastic ones it currently uses. The automatic spacer and tabulator work very pleasantly, the carriage runs smoothly. The use is pleasant and the feeling when writing is unique for this machine, not the best but certainly original, I personally like it.
The case seems more suitable for transporting weapons or explosives, you wouldn't think there is a Smurf-colored typewriter inside!
I think it is a third series produced in the 80s in Spain, if any of you who are better at dating this type of typewriter could give me more info I would be grateful!

I am a typewriter hunter and collector. I love going to second-hand markets to find typewriters to valorize. I want each of my typewriters to be functional, as I use them all to actually write on. I collect Olivetti and other Italian brands, but in rality i like all kinds of typewriter. I'm (slowly) adding my collection to the database.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti Studio 46 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti Serial Number page and the Olivetti Studio 46 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
