Description:
My only daily typer at the moment. I’ve always wanted to use a desktop model since I’m not in favour of lighter model with basic functions. It has 46 keys with 96 functions, and a working tabulator. 18” carriage. The machine came in a rather well kept condition, with the keys still soft to touch, hardly any sticky keys. The only drawback is that the margin release isn’t working and too soft, making margin setting a futile work. I tied the margin mechanism to the carriage’s frame and it helps with the typing, but my margin could never be released as a result. It’s a 10 CPI typer, my most legible font ever albeit being big and fills up a page rather quickly. What a workhorse! My future plan for it is to have her painted into a deep burgundy in colour. Her name is Ingrid!

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia SG3 (N) on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia SG3 (N) By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
