Description:
Based on the serial number this was manufactured in July 1972. 11 cpi typeface. Acquired April 2021 from its original owner in Fort-Coulonge, Quebec.
It arrived missing the line-spacing sticker and one screw from the back plate, which absence interfered with the paper holder release, but was otherwise in terrific shape. After breaking one of the alignment screws during adjustments, we laid hands on a parts machine that provided both replacement screws, plus a case. Now that we’ve given it a good cleaning it runs very well, though as is typical with Japanese machines in our experience, it smudges ink when you install a fresh ribbon.
