And... another one. This one makes the fourth Olympia Traveller de Luxe I have at home, and all of them are different.
This one is strikingly orange, one could say. For the rotten price of 2 € it was too good to let it go, and I didn´t care if it worked or not.
And it works, but it has been hit really hard. Someone has given it a heavy blow, bending the back and misalligning the typebars. But somehow it still works! This is a good example of how tough these Olympias are. Other typewriters would simply stop working because some little thing is out of place and they refuse to move, but this thing can still type after suffering that damage. Even the case is broken, because the lock system is missing. Someone decided to test the durability of this typewriter, and failed miserably.
The best part is that I´m even more mad at how absurd pricing works with colourful and/or small typewriters. Who needs a Valentine or a pink Pluma 22 with a 3-figure price on them if you can get a TdL for 10 euros or less? It´s even a better typewriter than the Valentine!

The first typewriter I saw was my grandpa´s Olivetti Linea 98 at the office. It was just a curio for me. Then I was given a Nakajima, which I didn´t use and my grandfather took it from me because it was easier to handle than the bulky Linea 98.
Now I own that typewriter, and I started a little collection in Valladolid, Spain. The Nakajima, which is "my" typewriter is the only one which is NOT in my collection. How ironic...
Things then got... complex. I moved from Valladolid to my village, and suddenly found myself with a lot of room available at home, so the small collection is turning into something bigger, a nuisace for my family and a great source of satisfaction for me.
