Five Letteras 32 at home, probably more than I need.
This one is a parts machine. It´s thrashed and dirty, but after all it can be helpful for other ones. For instance, one of the other 32´s is in dire need of a new ribbon spool, and it comes in really handy having a typewriter which I can dismantle and (try to) put back together knowing I´m not going to do more damage than it´s already done. Oh, and there´s the spilled paint. Do typewriters attract it or what?
I´m going to try my new (well, rescued after 7 years of inactivity) 2hp, 50 litre air compressor on this one. Cleaning it should be a good starting point.
One more thing. The serial on this one matches Ivrea´s and not Barcelona´s. I ´don´t get it. Even though Barcelona started following Ivrea numbers in 1971, they should have a 0, but none of my L32´s have a s/n starting with 0, and all of them have been made in Barcelona. I have a pretty wild range of s/n´s which go from 1829782 to 8653474, and I don´t have a clue on how to put them toghether.

The first typewriter I saw was my grandpa´s Olivetti Linea 98 at the office. It was just a curio for me. Then I was given a Nakajima, which I didn´t use and my grandfather took it from me because it was easier to handle than the bulky Linea 98.
Now I own that typewriter, and I started a little collection in Valladolid, Spain. The Nakajima, which is "my" typewriter is the only one which is NOT in my collection. How ironic...
Things then got... complex. I moved from Valladolid to my village, and suddenly found myself with a lot of room available at home, so the small collection is turning into something bigger, a nuisace for my family and a great source of satisfaction for me.
