Description:
This is my first typewriter - borrowed (?) from a school mate in 1988 to put together a zine. Have had it ever since... and it's been on tour in a VW Bus... Has survived weird psychedelic parties. One day a friend knocked it off the arm of a couch and the removable bit of plastic on the right side of the platen went bust - I should track the piece down if possible.

First started using a SMC Galaxie Twelve to type out and paste a zine in high school in the late 80's - I've been picking up typewriters as opportunity presents itself ever since. It's more of a casual hobby than a compulsion. Writing on a typewriter seems just the right speed for not getting ahead of what I have to say.
