1972 Royal (Silver-Seiko) Signet Serial # S-2491602 1972 Royal (Silver-Seiko) Signet typewriter, Serial # S-2491602 Tomasz Grzybek's 1972 Royal (Silver-Seiko) Signet typewriter. 2024-02-03 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Tomasz Grzybek: 1972 Royal (Silver-Seiko) Signet Serial # S-2491602 A 1972 Royal Signet portable typewriter made by Silver-Seiko.
It was in good condition when it came to me. I didn't find a lot of dirt in it which indicates that someone had taken care of it. On the front it bears the marking of what I think was the first owner from Germany - Ottilie Gwosdz (1929-2019).
The problem was discolored plastic keys, surprisingly - not all to the same degree. Such a checkerboard of yellow and white colors. With this I managed to come to terms.
Although the machine has neither a tabulator nor a touch adjuster surprisingly it is quite pleasant to type on it, although at first the keys were quite stiff. However, oil and typing on it have resulted in nothing to complain about now.
It has a German font and supports single-color 13mm ribbons. The machine closes with the original lid for transport and storage in the color of the machine.
