Consul 224 typewriter, manufactured in the former Czechoslovakia at the Zbrojovka Brno plant in 1996. SN: 6 224 154548.
Polish font, 13mm two-color ribbon. Touch adjuster. Automatic margin adjustment. Carriage pulls off easily and quickly by pushing back two catches. Original case for the machine.
The machine came to me in deplorable technical condition. I managed to solve many problems and slowly the machine is coming back to life. Currently, what remains for me to do: the margin release mechanism (there is a broken rod controlling the release - to be made anew) and to improve the operation of the carriage reversing mechanism (it is slow to return to the starting position, thus locking the carriage in one position).
The lever reversing the carriage is welded - an indication that the life of this machine has not been spoiled....
