This typewriter works but it has light rust almost everywhere. But since I have never restored anything, I do not dare to disassemble this beautiful typewriter. I never expected that I would have such a Triumph Stanard 1 in my collection. I am very happy to own this machine.

I got this typewriter together with a Phoenix Model D sewing machine. This typewriter works but it has light rust almost everywhere. But since I have never restored anything, I do not dare to disassemble this beautiful typewriter. I never expected that I would have such a Triumph Stanard 1 in my collection. I am very happy to own this machine.

This means that the ribbon is driven by the movement of the carriage spring housing. Under the gear wheel is a clapper, this strikes the bell and wins the operator that the ribbon has run off a spool and you have to change the direction of the ribbon manually.
