1968 Olivetti Lettera 32 Serial # 3124137 1968 Olivetti Lettera 32 typewriter, Serial # 3124137 Daniel Burgoyne's 1968 Olivetti Lettera 32 typewriter. 2022-02-06 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Daniel Burgoyne: 1968 Olivetti Lettera 32 Serial # 3124137 Bought locally across the Ottawa River in Gatineau, QC, in April 2021, in excellent cosmetic condition but gummed up.

Made in Canada, this machine has a QWERTY French Canadian keyboard layout with French diacritics. The typeface is Pica-like in a 2.6 mm pitch.

Came with the original instruction card in colour and in a vinyl-clad cardboard case that is light but hardly protects the machine in transport.

The keyboard action is very free and easy to type with, contrary to my 1957 Lettera 22 made in Scotland. It is a very good machine, works perfectly and very light for traveling.

I also used this machine to write my very first fictional story, as seen on the main photo.

Bonjour! I am from the region of Montreal, Quebec and moved to Ottawa, Ontario in 1992.

Amateur watchmaker and machinist, I love anything mechanical, hydraulic or electric. I have restored American and Canadian clocks and small lathes, milling machines and a jig bore.

Most of my typewriters have French Canadian QWERTY keyboards, with some exception for rare finds.
