The Typewriter Database 1966 IBM Model C Executive Serial # 2271195 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Corwin Davidson: 1966 IBM Model C Executive Serial # 2271195 This machine is a project. It does turn on, and the carriage sometimes advances, but that's about it. It needs a new ribbon, the on/off switch is broken off, (you have to plug it in to turn it on), the ribbon advance keeps advancing whether or not you are typing, and about half the type bars barely use any force to strike the platen. Restoration is in progress. It has an odd keyboard arrangement, with the 1 key being to the right of the "P" in QWERTYUIOP, and what I think are several greek letters. It also has three keys that are completely blank. This model has a really wide carriage (about 24 inches).
