The Olympia mod. 8. I think this model ils the last sample of "Luxury" typewriter. It's heavy, it's shiny and it's "full optional", like..
- A calendar on the top left
- Switch for double spacing L I K E T H I S.
- Special paper guide for drawing tables
- Tabulator
- Fast-changing carrage system
- Fine regulation of the lower paper-guide pressure on the paper.
.. And nice glass panels on the sides and on the back.
The ribbon system is fascinating. Ribbon reversing can be manual or automatic.

The carriage shift makes th carriage rotate around the rail..

The line spacing has 5 regulation plus the loose position.

We find two bars on the upper side with rolls and a guide on the lower side.. Really the paper is well-kept in place on this typewriter!

On the back, a great view of the continuos tabulating system, the margin setting levers, and through the glass, the clockworck-like escapement.

on the left side, under the carriage, there's the carriage disassembly lever.

It looks like the cockpit of a Messerschmitt, doesn't it? On the sides of the segment, that small knobs set the pressure of the lower paper guide.
