Description:
Once owned by a sportswriter for the San Francisco Examiner. This Monarch is a name variant of the Remington Compact Portable, displaying a nickel-plated front-piece that adds distinction to the machine.
This Monarch should not be confused with the original Monarch that was introduced in the early 1900s by the Monarch Typewriter Company, which was controlled by the Union Typewriter Company (which was controlled by execs at Remington).
