#1128. This seems to be a typewriter that never existed. It was made in Japan. I cannot find a single reference to this, except in the shops selling ribbons. When I power it on, the carriage makes a horrible noise and stops in the middle. I get maybe 10 characters out of it before it jams on the right side. I like Olympias enough that I thought this might just turn out well. Sometimes a bet just does not pay off and this was one of those times.

I started my collection back in 2017 when I found a 1993 Brother WP-1250, which was very close to the typewriter I owned and used to write letters home while I was stationed in Korea serving in the US Air Force (I later discovered it was most likely the Brother WP-1150, so I picked that up). In 2018, my wife took me to one of the local antique store and I saw an old typewriter that caught my eye. My wife purchased it for me for Christmas (a 1932 Royal 10). My wife and I decided to limit my collection to 5 typewriters, so I need to sell off my surplus.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia Orbit P on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia Orbit P By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
