However, I wanted to hot rod my Lettera 32, so I removed the power plant of this 35l and dropped in the sleeker, sexier L32 powerplant. I still have the guts, which will probably end up being picked over for parts.

Update: I ended up fixing what few things were wrong with this 35l engine (mainly some bendy work on the right carriage release - I don't recall there being much else wrong), and transplanting it into the shell of a busted Lettera 25, thus making my second "TwOlivetti" mashup. It's off getting sold now, so soon, somewhere in this world someone's going to enjoy a very upgraded Lettera 25 :D

I am a casual Typewriter Hunter residing in the sweltering deserts of Arizona with a wife, three cats and about 50 typewriters. My main hunting ground is thrift stores, and I rarely pay more than $10 for a machine. My collection consists mainly of portables with cases, and they stay in the cases unless I am actively using it (usually more than one at a time). I do, however keep a handful of interesting Selectrics, including a Composer and a couple of large Nakajima Electronics to use as daisywheel printers for my vintage laptop collection.
