It was a typewriter I had been looking for a long time, I had seen some but in poor condition or incomplete. I finally found this Hermes Ambassador in good overall condition and fully functional. Curious the device with a second tape, I do not know exactly the function. Anyway it works. Now the two Hermes, 2000 and 3000, have been reached by the big sister (last photo).....

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
