Compared to standards like the SG3 and Matura this typewriter stands out as small and elegant.
The Lexikon is easy to dismantle and clean. The margins can be set manual, or by pressing a button and move the carriage to the desired position. The tabulator moves the carriage gentle from tab to tab. The touch is solid and on the heavy side. Typing sound is pleasant and not too loud.
Odd: the margin scale is hard to read.
The Lexikon could best be described as a semi-standard with good looks.

I live in The Netherlands.
Most common typewriter brands over here are Triumph/Adler, Olympia, Erika, Olivetti, Remington and Brother.
I collect and restore typewriters to learn about their design and to write with them.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti Lexikon 80 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti Serial Number page and the Olivetti Lexikon 80 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
