Description:
Long ago I thought of not uploading here galleries of typewriters that were not in my collection. But I have to make an exception for this beauty, unfortunately not mine.....the "Ala Azzurra" (blue wing) is an Everest mod 44 probably intended for the Italian air force. It is the only one I have ever seen. It was sold not long ago on Ebay for 500 Euro.

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Everest 44 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Everest Serial Number page and the Everest 44 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
