1914 L.C. Smith 5 Serial # 240621-5 1914 L.C. Smith 5 typewriter, Serial # 240621-5 Plante and Doole-Fisher Typewriters's 1914 L.C. Smith 5 typewriter. 2018-06-12 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Plante and Doole-Fisher Typewriters: 1914 L.C. Smith 5 Serial # 240621-5 If you want to type like it's the Old Wet, use this machine. Fitted with comically large 9 CPI font you could be legally blind and still be able to read it. This L.C. Smith #5 has seen better days and is extremely worn out, to the point where the space-bar only works on one side. The chrome however, somehow survived and the fact that it has been repainted hasn't ruined how it shows.

Serves as an anti-thesis to the classic Underwood, but it feels more old-fashioned besides being a segment shift machine.
