Progress started in 1940, replacing Janalif. Production ceased during WWII (1942) and resumed late 1946. Last Progress typewriter was produced in 1959.
Progress, being a Janalif successor, also had no portable models. They were mostly
produced with wide carriage, but a small amount features "midsized" carriage.
