Working hero. This typewriter was one of the standard office machines for many decades before WWII. Developed in 1904 it remained nearly unchanged for all the years and was probably the most sold office typewriter of its time in Germany.
The tabulator mechanism is one of the best constructive solutions I have ever seen.
I love this solid, good working machine in my collection and use it with certain preference just for fun. Unfortunately it had to survive for many years in a cellar before I could rescue it.
Status: Typewriter Hunter
Collector with typewriter virus living in Austria. Fourty years ago typewriters were only standard office equipment for me. I was really glad to get my first but simple word processors in the early Eighties with delete, copy/paste and whatever wonderful functions. This fascination is over. Now I have returned to real mechanics.
