1939 Royal KMM

Serial #KMM2333588

One of my earliest machines.

Very heavy (about 33lb which is about as heavy as a 3 year old child) solidly made

Because this is used as a decorative piece, I don't realise just how amazing this machine is. When I do type on it (despite it being dusty inside), I am amazed at just how fantastic this machine is. Despite being sat on a desk, collecting dust, only having been serviced once by me years ago, it never lets me down. The typing touch is great, everything is exceptionally well made. If I had to have one typewriter, this would be it.

Everything else, including the Hermes Ambassador pails into insignificant against this machine.

Looks great too.

My only machine with glass keycaps & brass rings.

Typewriter collector, previous sewing machine collector.

Originally from the Garden of England, Kent. I have lived in Sheffield for over fifteen years.

As a young child, I always enjoyed taking things apart and seeing how they functioned.

I have been collecting a range of vintage typewriters for over two years.

Previously, I was interested in restoring sewing machines, then I acquired my mothers Olivetti Dora and looked under the hood and typed, I was hooked on typewriters and how they worked.

I learn something every day from passionate bloggers and typewriter enthusiasts.

Fan of Joe Van Cleave's typewriter video series.
