1920 Underwood 5

Serial #1426474

Found as a rusted, jammed, filthy, badly repainted hulk at a yard sale for $10. The Good Reverend ministered to his needs and he sprang back to life, ready for another 100 years of service. The paint job was badly done in about 1940 (by the apparent age of the sticker of the shop that did it), but I've given up getting that paint off. I have come around to the idea that it adds charm. It's the only standard-size typewriter I've kept around other than the Selectrics.

This typewriter's name is "Drago".

I am a scoundrel without a cause, and my swank outshines the sun.

I am a casual Typewriter Hunter residing in the sweltering deserts of Arizona with a wife, three cats and about 40 typewriters. My main hunting ground is thrift stores, and I rarely pay more than $10 for a machine.
