1974 Princess (Keller und Knappich) 500 Serial # 687947 1974 Princess (Keller und Knappich) 500 typewriter, Serial # 687947 Richard Polt's 1974 Princess (Keller und Knappich) 500 typewriter. 2018-09-17 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Richard Polt: 1974 Princess (Keller und Knappich) 500 Serial # 687947 I believe this is the final Princess model made by Keller & Knappich. (Later Princess clones were made in Bulgaria as the Maritsa.)

It's essentially the same old (excellent) Princess design in a tan, angular, '70s body. The top shell and ribbon cover are one big removable piece.

An instruction manual printed with a code that begins "74" suggests 1974 as the manufacture date.
