It’s worth fixing, though, for its mill typeface, with the letters being all upper case in both shift positions and the distinct “1”, slashed zero, and the quirky “8” and “C”. See if you can find any images of telegrams showing those odd characters.

The back panel is removable without tools (though I’ll bet there’s a tool to make it easier to get it back on) so I wonder what had to be adjusted so frequently that this design was worth the cost.
