Description:
This is the first portable that I had ever purchased. I bought it for a very low price, as it had a few issues. After replacing the draw band, it became apparent that it also had an escapement issue.
I affectionately call it My Disappointing O, as it now sits as a display piece until I can find the part to fix it.

I caught the typewriter bug when I fell in love with an Underwood 5. A few months later and I am now up to 10 typewriters, with the majority consisting of Royal P's and O's. I keep telling myself that "this is the last one", but we all know how that goes..
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal O on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal O By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
