1935 Triumph Durabel Serial # 318102 1935 Triumph Durabel typewriter, Serial # 318102 Taylor Harbin's 1935 Triumph Durabel typewriter. 2015-08-30 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Taylor Harbin: 1935 Triumph Durabel Serial # 318102 One of the most beautiful typewriters I've ever seen! This was a gift from my parents after I graduated with my MA. It's a true Depression-era machine: no tabulator, no ribbon color switch, no paper guide, no touch control. Yet, it pulls it off with such luscious detail you don't care! The Triumph company itself is an amazing story, so I recommend you do a little research.

Perhaps the most interesting feature on this machine is the visible margin guides in the paper tray. Makes setting them a whole lot easier!

Of all my machines, this one is probably in the best condition (considering the decals and stencils are still immaculate). Therefore, I don't handle it often.

I am a professional historian and writer. I have been collecting typewriters since 2013, and use them for all of my work (novels, short stories, poetry, non-fiction, and personal letters). I have a passion for all things antique, but hold a special place for these tools. Some of my collection is up for sale or trade, so if you see something you want, let me know!

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Triumph Durabel on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Triumph Serial Number page and the Triumph Durabel By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
