My father and I spotted this while at a flea market. For some reason, from a distance, it did not look like a real Corona three.
When we got close, I found the drawband off of the drum but otherwise the machine was working. The seller and I haggled a bit and came to a price of $30. Not too bad!
It was then that he showed me that he had the case. It is not the normal case for one of these, with the flap on the front. It is brown leather with a velvet interior.
On the front is a little oval plaque that reads "Made Expressly For Corona Typewriter Co. INC."
Under the cover of the mechanism was an inscription: 'For you(r) W.M. Hall + Co. - 6-6-24 - MONTREAL.'
Pretty cool.
The case is really worn out and I would not trust it other than just to hold the machine.
Also the keyboard has some a few different key; the key in the bottom right is an accent key with a accented 'e'. Also, there are two '#' symbols on the keyboard and on the type slugs with the 's' and the 'l'. Kind of odd but, definitely interesting.
I like the feel of the machine, but the print quality leave a lot to be desired. The alignment is off as you type, though the platen is not too hard and not pitted.
Left the collection on 11/5/2017.

I started collecting typewriters several years ago and it started with a late 1960s Smith-Corona Sterling portable that I got as a gift.
