Acquired: 2016/08/23

Base has warping from water damage. Left carriage roller and bracket were broken before I got the machine. A friend with metalworking skills was able to make a new bracket and roller, visible in one of these photos.

This machine feature a cylindrical type element, letting the typist quickly switch between fonts or languages.

Pressing the CAP button raises the typecylinder up one level so the middle row of characters will strike the platen.

Similarly, pressing the FIG button raises the type cylinder up to the second level so the top row of characters will strike the platen.

I spent a few minutes trying out the keyboard after I got the machine working, and I can see how it would be faster than QWERTY if I was used to it.

A neat double-zero serial indicates a 1907 year of manufacture.

The roller inks the cylinder on its way down.

The type cylinder then pushes the ink roller out of the way and hits the platen.

Nice and shiny after some surface cleaning.
