Base has warping from water damage. Left carriage roller and bracket were broken before I got the machine. A friend with metalworking skills was able to make a new bracket and roller, visible in one of these photos.

Acquired: 2016/08/23

Pressing the CAP button raises the typecylinder up one level so the middle row of characters will strike the platen.

I spent a few minutes trying out the keyboard after I got the machine working, and I can see how it would be faster than QWERTY if I was used to it.
