Designed by Edwin E. Barney and Frank J.Tanner and first produced in 1900 by the German sewing machine company Seidl & Neumann.
The typebasket isn't vertical like in the Underwood 5, but it's angled 45°.
The return lever is set near the keyboard, on the right, far from the carriage.
This machine has an hybrid shift system: pressing the shift key raises the basket AND lowers the carriage.

Description:

S&N Ideal Mo.A3 with decimal tabulator. Designed by Edwin E. Barney and Frank J.Tanner and first produced in 1900 by the German sewing machine company Seidl & Neumann.
The typebasket isn't vertical like in the Underwood 5, but it's angled 45°.
The return lever is set near the keyboard, on the right, far from the carriage.

If you tried to find a 10mm-wide ribbon then you know it is impossible to find.. Here's the trick: buy a EPSON ERC-27 (cod. OEM C43S01536) cartridge, crack open it, and use its purple ribbon...
