The Typewriter Database 1989 Lyubava Любава ПП-215-01 Serial # 176073 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Kristians Luhaers: 1989 Lyubava Любава ПП-215-01 Serial # 176073 Found at local flea market. Pretty beaten up with jammed carriage and broken plastic cover. Still in repair process, but I tend to agree with Mr. Nick Tauriainen, that it may compete for one of "The Worst Typewriter" title, because low-quality materials (plastic, metal) were used in the production. Like with many things made back in Soviet time, it is a blind game when you try to find a quality product.
Produced in Ryazan accounting machine plant under the licence from Robotron. Actually it is Russian version of Robotron Erika 105, just poorly made.
This typewriter has Latvian keyboard.

TYPEWRITERS...
Doesn't they look sexy to you? Such a number of different shapes, forms and colors.... All those complicated and not so complicated mechanisms, levers and arms, gears and sprockets... how they became alive and start dancing at your fingertip punches...
It started on December 2015 when I bought my second typewriter... Beaten, damaged, dusty... I took it apart, cleaned, repaired. Since then it became as an obsession... Now there are more than dozen.
