The Typewriter Database 1981 IBM Selectric II Serial # 26 7081909 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Mark Petersen: 1981 IBM Selectric II Serial # 26 7081909 Got this machine for $10 at a thrift shop. I love playing with these and showing it off but I don't type on it often. I used to work at an office supply store and found the other type-balls I own in the back and got them cheaply.

Update: I type on the Selectric more now, I have grown to love it. I also got a bunch of free balls after appearing on the news so there are some new ones posted now.

Update: I recently bought a less good Selectric II for $10 at Goodwill and I plan to resell it, but not before snagging the cool flip up dust cover from it and installing it on this one! I have posted some pictures of the dust cover.
