The Typewriter Database 1971 Penncrest (SCM) Caravelle 12 Serial # P6L 114203 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Mark Petersen: 1971 Penncrest (SCM) Caravelle 12 Serial # P6L 114203 Found at the Goodwill in Christiansburg, VA for $7 and it is in excellent shape. Even came with a good ribbon already on metal spools. And an owner's manual and some other papers and even the key to the case! It types as well as a Classic 12 does which it is based on, but I think it looks a lot cooler and I like that is is more exclusive.
Goodwill is pretty funny this week, with a Coronamatic cartridge machine priced in the mid-$20 range which has been there for weeks and yet this machine was priced for $7... I am not complaining!
