This machine is certainly is terrible to type on, but it seems aimed at the student market. There is no carriage return lever - you manually return the carriage and advance the line using the carriage knob.

I am a scoundrel without a cause, and my swank outshines the sun.

I am a casual Typewriter Hunter residing in the sweltering deserts of Arizona with a wife, three cats and about 40 typewriters. My main hunting ground is thrift stores, and I rarely pay more than $10 for a machine.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Konryu Collegiate on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Konryu Serial Number page and the Konryu Collegiate By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
