Despite being heavier and larger than my 1961 Adler Tippa, the â68 Tippa-S feels less substantial, has more rattle, and lacks the sharp rat-a-tat-tat of its predecessor. I'm starting to wonder why I bought it. sold
Curiosity I suppose. I've seen plenty of Adler Tippa S typewriters, but not so many Triumph ones. Apparently later Tippa S typewriters were basket shift. This one has a carriage shift.
A very average portable typewriter.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Triumph Tippa S on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Triumph Serial Number page and the Triumph Tippa S By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
