Evidently it was originally purchased in Europe--see the British pound symbol in place of the number sign. It also features the older four dot margin release button, and it has thicker ribbon spindles requiring the DIN 2103 ribbon spools instead of the standard size. Best part as far as I'm concerned is the beautiful Congress Elite No. 84 typeface (11 pitch). Great machine.
